The Green Bay Packers on Monday released offensive tackle Chad Clifton.  According to a report from ESPN, he did not pass a physical after off-season back surgery. 

You may remember Clifton getting knocked out the game after getting blind-sided by Warren Sapp in a game against Tampa Bay.  Chad needed hip surgery, but came back to play ten more seasons for the Packers.  It looks like age and injuries finally caught up with him. 

Chad, thank you for all you've done for the Green & Gold.  You are the embodiment of a team player.  Now take it easy.  You deserve a little time off.
