Crystal Shawanda - Indian Summer Festival - 9/5

Crystal Shawanda, an up and coming newcomer to the Country music scene, will be performing at the Indian Summer Festival on Friday, Sept. 5 at 6 p.m.  Her debut single “You Can Let Go” has been the fastest climbing single on the Canadian Country Singles since Carolyn Dawn Johnson’s “Georgia” in 2000, which reached the Top 10 in five weeks. 

Shawanda in a country music singer-songwriter from Wikwemikong, Ontario, Canada.  She is a full-blooded Native North American from the Ojibwa tribe.  Her surname, Shawanda, translates to “Dawn of a New Day,” and is also the title of her debut album. “Dawn of a New Day” will be released in the U.S. on Aug. 19.

Regular festival hours are 4 p.m. to midnight Friday, noon to midnight Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday.
