A recent survey of New Jersey voters shows that 45 percent support a bill requiring pets to wear seat belts in the car – with only 40 percent saying they don’t support the idea.
No joke.
The bill, which is actually being considered in the state Assembly, would carry a $20 fine for violations – and could lead to animal cruelty charges with fines up to $1,000. (UPI)
