It's very simple - a restaurant in Kentucky has abolished tipping. It's not allowed by the diners in the restaurant. The credit card slips don't even have a space to add a tip.
Here's how it works:
The servers are getting paid $10/hour or 20% of their food sales for the day, whatever is higher.
According to this article, the math is pretty simple...to make $100 in one shift, you would only need to pull in $500 in food sales, which it sounds like is pretty simple for a busy dinner shift.
